Job summary

Ohio State University Medical Center seeks a Patient Transporter for the East Hospital - Main campus. You will transport patients, deliver specimens, and support the care team, while maintaining carts and equipment. You will also document transport activities and assist with package deliveries as needed.

Regular first-shift role, 40 hours per week. Background checks and potential drug screen/physical may be required after offer. Equal opportunity employer including veterans and disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must read and write simple sentences.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide whole numbers).
• Healthcare/service-experience in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and observe/report patient actions to care team.

Minimum Education Required

Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read and write simple sentences plus: 1 course in public relations (or 1 mo. exp.).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous health care or service oriented field experience in an acute health care setting is preferred.
• May require valid Driver's License.
