Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a dedicated transport associate to move patients within University Hospitals East and surrounding facilities. You will support patient care by safely transporting individuals, reporting changes to care teams, and keeping carts and equipment clean and ready for use.

Previous health care or service experience is preferred. Candidates may need a valid driver's license and must pass a background check and possibly a drug screen as part of

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write simple sentences.
• One course in public relations or one month of relevant experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients as assigned to and from care areas.
• Observes and reports patient actions to care team members.
• Cleans and maintains transport carts, wheelchairs, and related equipment.
• Completes transport logs and related documentation.
• Delivers specimens and related patient care items.
• Assists in receipt/delivery of packages as needed.
