Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - East Campus Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter to join our team in El Paso, TX. You will safely move patients and visitors between departments, document service requests, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.

Full-time with rotating shifts; prior patient transport or customer service experience is preferred, and AHA BLS certification is required to maintain patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in patient transportation or customer service preferred.
• AHA BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients from one area of the hospital to another as needed.
• Cleans all equipment as assigned, assists other employees, and may assist with clerical work in the department as time permits.

Job Summary

Full Time, Rotate

Receives and transports patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination. Will document request for services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system. Will maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition, as well as proper working order (i.e., oiling wheels of such equipment). Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
