Job summary

Carondelet St. Josephs Hospital in Tucson is seeking a compassionate transporter to move patients and visitors safely to their destinations within the hospital.

You will assist with equipment and help fellow staff to maintain a smooth workflow in a busy care environment. Experience in patient transportation or customer service and a BLS certification are preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Preferred: Experience in patient transportation or customer service.
• Licensure/Certifications: BLS

Responsibilities

• Transports patients from one area of the hospital to another as needed.
• Cleans all equipment as assigned.
• Assists other employees as directed.
• May assist with clerical work in the department as time permits.
• Documents request for services to provide accurate and timely tracking.
• Maintains wheelchairs, stretchers, and other equipment in clean, sanitary condition and in proper working order.
• Completes established competencies for the position within the introductory period.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Summary
