This per diem role emphasizes high-quality customer service and teamwork while ensuring oxygen tanks and equipment are available and maintained.

Responsibilities include assisting in lifting patients, transporting to tests and procedures, and adhering to safety, infection-control, and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous transport experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.
• Ability to communicate in a positive and courteous manner.

• Assist in lifting and moving patients, including those who are injured or elderly.
• Ensure adequate supply of oxygen tanks and maintain equipment.

Job Summary

Job Type: Per Diem

The Patient Transporter performs activities related to transportation of patients as directed. Will assist in the lifting of heavy, badly injured, or elderly patients. Ensures adequate supply of oxygen tanks throughout the facility. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Minimum: High School graduate or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous transport experience with patient care preferred

REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• Current AHA BLS Certification required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to communicate in positive and courteous manner; demonstrated customer service skills
