Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett is seeking a dedicated transport colleague to move patients and visitors safely throughout our campus. You will document requests for services and help maintain equipment in clean, working order.

Responsibilities include transporting patients between departments, assisting staff, and performing light clerical tasks when possible. A focus on safety and customer care is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• Preferred: patient transportation or customer service experience.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and visitors safely within the hospital to designated destinations.
• Transports patients from one area to another as needed.
• Receives and transports patients and visitors in a safe, timely manner.
• Cleans equipment as assigned and assists others as directed.
• May assist with clerical tasks in the department when time permits.
• Performs related duties as required.

Job Summary

Receives and transports patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination. Will document request for Services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system. Will maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition as well as proper working order (i.e.-oiling wheels of such equipment). Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
