Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Per Diem Transporter to move patients throughout the facility by stretcher, wheelchair, or cookie chair. This role may include transporting medications with patients and connecting them to oxygen when needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and BLS certification; candidates should demonstrate strong documentation, communication, and customer-service skills and be able to stand and walk for extended periods while using handheld devices.

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs, stretchers or cookie chairs.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by stretcher, wheelchair or cookie chair to designated locations.
• Transport medications with patients and connect them to O2 if needed.
