Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, seeks a driver to safely transport patients and assist with entry and exit from vehicles. You will coordinate with departments to ensure high levels of patient care and support vehicle operations with basic maintenance tasks.

Position is Per Diem with a Variable shift. Required are a High School diploma, the appropriate driver’s license, and BCLS certification; DUI history and age criteria apply per policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class C Driver's License when driving vehicles with fewer than 10 seats, or Class B with passenger endorsement for vehicles with 10+ seats.
• No DUI or reckless driving violation in the past three years and maintaining under 3 points.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Current BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle to safely transport patients to and from destinations.
• Coordinates with other departments to maximize patient service.
• Performs semi-skilled trades and general maintenance as directed for vehicle operation.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Driver's License (Class C or Class B with passenger endorsement)

BCLS (AHA) certification

No DUI or reckless driving in past 3 years

Must be 21 years of age
