Job summary

Rush Oak Park Hospital is seeking a dedicated Transport Technician to move patients and equipment across departments in Oak Park, IL. You will assist with patient transfers, operate the EPIC transport system, and support routine clerical tasks within the Central Transportation department.

Responsibilities include safe handling of beds, wheels, and stretchers; PPE compliance; and maintaining patient privacy and care standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• CPR certification within the first 90 days of hire.
• Customer service mindset with strong communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and patient care equipment to designated areas throughout the hospital.
• Use EPIC Transport module to accept and record job assignments.
• Observe policies for safe bed operations, equipment, stretchers and PPE.
• Ensure patient privacy and dignity during transport.
• Transfer patients to and from wheelchairs, beds and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow hospital policies.
