Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a transporter to move patients, records, mail, specimens, and equipment within the facility. You will relocate inpatients and outpatients to destinations and deliver items to departments using the pneumatic tube system.

The role also includes serving as a hospital ambassador, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and supporting other duties as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with patient and personnel information.

Responsibilities

• Transport inpatients and outpatients within the facility.
• Deliver equipment, materials and specimens to requesting departments using the pneumatic tube system.
• Serve as a hospital ambassador, providing information and direction to patients and visitors.
• Maintain cleanliness and good working order of transportation equipment.
