Job summary

Veritas Management Group is seeking a patient-transport support role to schedule and confirm appointments, review patient needs, and coordinate transport with nursing staff. The position requires careful attention to appointment details and effective communication with families and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting patients during visits, managing transportation orders, and ensuring equipment readiness and safety.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and crouch repetitively.
  • Must be able to push a minimum of 200lbs for a long distance.
  • Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100lbs.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver licence.
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Review patient information prior to appointments to determine needs.
  • Verify with nursing staff if there are questions.
  • Implement customer-service standards and resolve problems.
  • Inform family members of appointments upon request.
  • Stay with patient during appointments to provide assistance when requested.
  • Post appointments daily for staff and patients and be available to answer questions.
  • Enter orders for appointment and transportation and retrieve diagnostic labs needed for appointment.
  • Determine best route to and from appointments and equipment required to load/unload patient.
  • Keep equipment operating by enforcing maintenance rules and arranging repairs.
  • Provide and troubleshoot medical equipment needed for patient transport (O2, wheelchairs, gurneys, IVs).
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures; complying with regulations.
