Job summary

Job description

Job Purpose: To provide safe and timely transportation for patients to activities, meetings, and events as needed, ensuring a secure and supportive environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Transport patients to scheduled destinations safely and punctually.

Conduct routine safety checks on vehicle(s) to ensure they are in proper working condition.

Operate motor vehicles responsibly and in compliance with all traffic laws and organizational policies.

Refrain from using any cellular or electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle.

Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients.

Ensure all necessary documentation related to transportation is completed accurately and promptly.

Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to the appropriate personnel immediately.

Education and experience, degree and/or certification required (if applicable):

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations.

Ability to work with patients in a compassionate and professional manner.

Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends, if needed.

Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and safety checks is a plus.

Experience in patient transportation or healthcare settings is preferred but not required.
