Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Manager of Patient Transport to lead one of the nation’s busiest transport teams. You will oversee operations, mentor future leaders, and champion process improvements impacting patient care and hospital operations across the medical complex.

Responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating lifts for non-ambulatory patients, and ensuring safe, timely transport while leveraging Tele-Tracking technology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Supervisory experience preferred (<2 years).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations across the hospital transport network.
• Oversee supervision of the transport department and staff.
• Research, evaluate, and implement systems to improve efficiency of unit operations.
• Hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance, and plan professional development for team members.
