Job summary

Heart of Gold Medical Transport is hiring a driver to provide safe, reliable patient transportation in the Galt, Lodi, Elk Grove area. You will assist with boarding for wheelchair users, maintain a clean vehicle, and perform daily inspections. Empathy for patients and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Excellent knowledge of local transportation regulations and routes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Empathy and compassion for patients.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to push/pull patients on a wheelchair.
• Comfortable using tablet, cell phone and apps.
• Able to pass background check and DOT physical and drug test (No cannabis use).
• Previous experience in medical transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to patients and clients.
• Assist with boarding and disembarking wheelchair-bound or walker/cane users.
• Keep vehicle clean and well maintained; perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Report any vehicle issues promptly to ensure safety.
• Interact with patients with empathy and professionalism on every ride.
