Job summary

Heart of Gold Medical Transport in California is seeking a compassionate Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for patients in the Galt, Lodi, Elk Grove area. You will assist with boarding and disembarking, help wheelchair users, and ensure the vehicle is clean and well maintained.

This part-time to full-time role requires a valid license and clean driving record, strong communication, and empathy for patients.

We are hiring a part-time to full-time Driver in the Galt, Lodi, Elk Grove, area. As a driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to patients and clients. Your daily tasks can include assisting with boarding and disembarking folks who may be wheelchair bound or using a walker or cane. The driver will be responsible in making sure the vehicle is clean and well maintained, do daily vehicle inspections and report any issues. The driver must enjoy working with people and have empathy towards those that are ill. We make a difference in people's lives and if you are the type that loves helping people, this job is for you.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent knowledge of local transportation regulations and routes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Empathy and compassion for patients.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to push/ pull patients on a wheelchair.
• Comfortable using tablet, cell phone and apps.
• Able to pass background check (No felonies) and DOT physical and drug test (No cannabis use).
• Previous experience in medical transportation is a plus.
