Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients safely between clinical units and imaging areas. You will maintain bed storage areas, assist with traction equipment, and respond promptly to codes and emergencies under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes infection control, teamwork, and customer service while maintaining safe and efficient transport operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write at an 8th grade level.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Prefer minimum of one-year recent experience in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Move patients to and from clinical units and diagnostic/treatment areas.
• Maintain and organize bed storage areas.
• Respond to code situations.
• Transport patients via gurney, bed, or wheelchair.
• Utilize TeleTracking Transport System to maintain productivity.
• Assemble/disassemble traction equipment and return to storage area.
