Job summary

RCA - Recovery Centers of America Management Company seeks a Transportation Support Specialist to provide patient transport to treatment and appointments, and support patient activities under supervision. This role supports safety and timeliness in a health-care setting across RCA locations and requires a clean driving record and CPR certification.

The position involves driving, documentation, safety checks, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license must be maintained.
• Good driving record (MVR acceptable).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a driver/transportation support specialist preferred.
• Experience in health and human services (6 months) preferred.
• CPR certification maintained.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization and prioritization of workload.
• Proficiency with technology hardware and systems; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and/or staff.
• Performs and documents daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety.
• Processes patient belongings for new admissions and visitation items (search, inspection, sanitization, delivery).
• Monitors patient activities, performs security checks, documents rounds and incidents.
• Communicates safety and transportation needs to program leadership on-call.
• Communicates with inter-disciplinary departments on admissions, discharges, transfers.
• Performs other duties when patient transportation needs are low.
• May transport medical equipment, including medication.

Skills

Valid state driver's license

Acceptable MVR

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior experience as a driver/transport

6 months experience in health and hum

Maintains CPR certification

Ability to work in fast-paced environ

Excellent organizational skills
