Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 2 years related experience.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience directly related to patient placement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bed placement across admission sources to optimize bed utilization.
• Communicate bed placement needs to Clinical Operations Administrator for timely action.
• Enter accurate patient admission data into the EPIC system and ensure correct admission details.
• Provide high-level customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and manage sensitive information securely.
• Assist with bed tracking and STAT cleaning requests and update relevant stakeholders.
• Support interfacility transfers in the absence of the Transfer Coordinator and ensure EMTALA compliance.
