Patient Support Center Representative - Remote in EST, CST or MST

Position Overview

This position involves assisting patients with their healthcare needs, providing excellent customer service, and managing sensitive information with care. Employees will work any day of the week during our normal business hours, with flexibility depending on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Achieve performance goals related to patient satisfaction, accuracy, quality, and attendance.
  • Maintain adherence to department standards and metrics.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service skills, including effective communication and empathy.
  • Utilize multiple monitors for data entry and resource access while maintaining professionalism.
  • Handle complex and sensitive information, acting as a patient advocate.
  • Support team members with paperwork and patient issue resolution.
  • Identify and follow procedures for potential risks involving medical, legal, or financial information.
  • Use Optum systems to resolve customer inquiries regarding appointments, claims, benefits, etc.
  • Translate spoken information into accurate written documentation.
  • Assist members with choosing primary care providers and general medical information.
  • Coordinate with clinicians and telehealth nurses as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to navigate multiple chat channels.
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
  • Availability to work full-time on any day within our scheduled hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare setting (1+ years).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working remotely and with multiple screens.
Telecommuting Requirements
  • Reside within Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones.
  • Secure a dedicated, private work area.
  • Have high-speed internet access compatible with company standards.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, based on experience and location. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare, 401k, stock purchase options, and recognition programs.
