Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and may have prior patient care experience. The position requires 36 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Prior experience in patient care; Ability to communicate and collaborate with others; Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Patient Sitter for RWJ Hamilton.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• BLS required through American Heart Association

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively

Scheduling Requirements

• 36 hours a week - Night shift with rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and rotating holidays required

Essential Functions

• The Patient Sitter is support staff assigned to monitor and ensure the safety of patients, particularly those at risk of injury or requiring constant supervision,
• Their primary role is to prevent accidents, assist with non-medical needs, and provide companionship to the patient
