RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Monitor for the Nursing Float Pool at the New Brunswick facility. This permanent night-shift role is 40 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation, located at One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ.

You will work under licensed staff, observe patients closely, assist with daily living activities, maintain patient safety, and protect patient confidentiality while following care plans and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Responsabilités

• Observes and reports patient's conditions, behavior, and complaints to the nurse.
• Transports, escorts, and assists patients as needed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety protocols.
• Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner.

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Patient Monitor for our Sitter Unit, in our New Brunswick Facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements

• Night Shift, 40 hours per week (5 shifts per week), 11p-7:30a, includes every other weekend and some holidays.

Essential Functions

• Complies with patient care decisions made by the professional staff and accepts responsibility for following instructions, fulfilling assignments and learning from feedback
• Follows all Suicidal Precautions and Close Observation monitoring policies and procedures
• Observes and reports patient's conditions, behavior, and complaints to the nurse
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality
• Observes and applies appropriate interventions
• Maintains a safe and orderly work/patient care environment
• Assists patients with daily living activities (i.e.; feeding, dressing patients, showering/bathing).
• Transfers, escorts, transports, and ambulates patients
• Assures patients have correct ID bands
• Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner
• Handles and disposes of infectious and hazardous materials per policies and procedures
• Maintains standards of behavior as established in the Organizational Ethics Codes of Conduct Policy
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information
• Suicide Monitoring: Maintains safety of patients by remaining within an arms distance at all times
• Close Observations: maintains safety of close observation patients per policy
• Safe Patient Handling
• Effective use of Handle with Care Techniques
