Job summary

Providence Little Company Of Mary San Pedro Hospital is seeking a Patient Sitter for the Float Pool in San Pedro, CA. This is a Full Time variable shift position, working under the supervision of an RN to monitor patients and support the nursing team.

The role includes assisting with daily living activities and maintaining a safe, clean environment to support patient care and the hospital's mission of compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Training in Nurse Aide course or Health Care Assistant.
• Preferred: 1 year Health Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, provides close observation of patients.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Promotes the therapeutic milieu and the efficiency of the nursing team.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living as needed.

Under the supervision of an RN, provides close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Promotes the therapeutic milieu and the efficiency of the nursing team. Provides assistance with activities of daily living, unless the patient needs are such that adverse health consequences are predictable. Supports System and Nursing Strategic Plans, Relationship-Based Care, and Shared Leadership.
