Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Full Time Patient Sitters for the 2nd Shift and 3rd Shift at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, PA. The role offers $14.50 per hour with a $300 sign-on bonus distributed in 3 installments and requires no prior medical experience.

Shifts include 2nd (3:00PM-11:30PM) and 3rd (11:00PM-7:30AM). You will monitor patients, support RN staff, and help keep patient areas safe and clean.

Qualifications

• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
• CPR AED or basic life support healthcare provider (BLS-HCP) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s condition visually and audibly at all times.
• Remain at the bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Redirect patient from at-risk behaviors and report any unusual behavior to RN.
• Complete observation reports as scheduled and assist with patient care tasks as directed.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality; cooperate with nursing staff and hospital personnel.
