Xanitos, Inc. is hiring for a full-time and part-time Patient Sitter for 2nd and 3rd shift at UPMC Altoona in Altoona, PA. The role is on-site, with shifts 3:00PM-11:30PM and 11:00PM-7:30AM, and pay of $14.50 per hour.

You will monitor patients, stay at the bedside, and support nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort. No prior medical experience is required, and training including CPR/BLS is provided by Xanitos.

Formación

• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand written English communication including patient identifiers, pick and receiving location, isolation precaution notifications and other important patient information necessary to perform assigned task.
• CPR AED or basic life support healthcare provider (BLS-HCP) certification required.
• Training and certifications required for this role will be provided by Xanitos.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor patient condition visually and audibly at all times.
• Remain at bedside unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Verbally redirect the patient from participating in at risk behaviors.
• Complete observation reports at the assigned times.
• Collaborate with staff to report patient safety issues and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with calming and orienting patients and helping with meals or ambulation as needed.
