Job summary

BMC Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia is seeking a Shuttle Driver to meet, greet, and welcome passengers and operate shuttles with a focus on excellent customer service and safe driving. This role requires a valid driver’s license and at least three years of driving a multi-passenger vehicle.

You will perform pre-trip checks, follow routes, report incidents, assist with wheelchairs, and maintain clear communication with dispatch and passengers.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Three (3) years driving experience with a multi-passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepares shuttle for the day’s run and checks fluids.
• Follows traffic laws and safety policies; hands-free phone use when parked.
• Reports accidents or suspicious activity to supervisor.
• Contacts supervisor for problematic situations.
• Follows routes and loading/unloading guidelines.
• Maintains shuttle interior/exterior during non-peak hours.
• Documents and notifies of shuttle issues to supervisor.
• Coordinates with other drivers via radio.
• Updates passenger records at destinations.
• Reports vehicle assist with other motorists or employees to Security Dispatcher.
• Operates wheelchair lift on handicap equipped shuttles.
