Job summary

A leading-edge medical laboratory testing company seeks a Patient Services Tech Specialist in Raleigh, NC. This role involves blood collection from patients of all ages, paternity tests, and drug screening. Candidates must have a high school diploma, phlebotomy certification, and a valid driver’s license. Essential skills include effective communication, organization, and proficiency with personal computers. This position is a 2-month contract with a Mon-Fri schedule from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Good attendance and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years experience.
  • Phlebotomy certification with 2+ years experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.
  • Legal Authorization to Work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Collect blood using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
  • Conduct urine drug screen and paternity collections.
  • Train employees and maintain compliance and safety standards.
  • Difficult draws (patients in various facilities).
  • Must communicate the importance of compliance and safety to other employees.
  • Provide orientation and training; answer telephones and maintain logs/records.

Job Description
  • Blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups

  • LCM/Cyber Tools

  • Pediatric Blood Collections
  • Difficult draws (patients in various facilities)
  • Must have comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, and is able to effectively communicate the importance of compliance and safety to other employees
  • Possess the ability and skills necessary to provide orientation and training
  • Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.
  • Operate personal computer
Qualifications
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+yrsExperience
  • Phlebotomy Certification with 2+ yrs Experience
  • Requires a Valid Driver’s License, along with a clean driving record
  • Legal Authorization to Work in the US
