Job summary

A leading-edge medical laboratory company in Marion, SC, is seeking a Patient Services Tech Specialist with strong skills in blood collection and compliance. The successful candidate will perform venipuncture, urine drug collections, and administrative duties. A high school diploma along with a phlebotomy certification and 2+ years of experience are required. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the US. The position is a 3-month contract with working hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary technique.
• Conduct urine drug screen collections.
• Maintain logs/records and answer telephones.
• Provide orientation and training; maintain logs and records.
• Answer phones and manage administrative tasks; use computerized databases.

Job Description

•Blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups

•Urine drug screen collections

•Paternity collections

•Pediatric Blood Collections

•Difficult draws (patients in various facilities)

•Must have comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, and is able to effectively communicate the importance of compliance and safety to other employees

•Possess the ability and skills necessary to provide orientation and training

•Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.

Qualifications

•Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ yrs Experience

•Phlebotomy Certification with 2+ yrs Experience

•Requires a Valid Driver's License, along with a clean driving record

•Legal Authorization to Work in the US

• Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm
• 3 Month Contract +/-
• Pay: DOE
