Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, supervisory healthcare experience, and CPR certification, with proficiency in medical terminology and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience as a Scheduler or related role.
• One year supervisory experience in healthcare or related environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience using a computerized scheduling system; troubleshoot/repair basics.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Supervises Schedulers and/or Secretarial staff in assigned clinics;; coordinates office activities for assigned department. Acts as a liaison between Staff, Physicians and other hospital personnel, as well as physician offices and patients. Provides service adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

REQUIRED:

• 1. High school diploma or equivalent
• 2. Two (2) years experience as a Scheduler or other related experience.
• 3. One (1) year of supervisory experience in healthcare or related environment.
• 4. Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 5. Demonstrated experience in the use of a computerized scheduling system and related trouble-shooting, maintenance, and repair activities.
• 6. Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

PREFERRED:

• 1. Two (2) years computer-related college coursework.
• 2. Two (2) years of business administration/secretarial science.
• 3. BA/BS in business or related field (Women First)
