General Physician, P.C. in Olean, NY is seeking a Medical Receptionist (PSR) to join a respected multi-specialty group. You will be the first contact for patients, handling check-in/check-out, scheduling, and EMR entry to keep patient flow efficient. No nights or weekends, onsite work, with comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Proven work experience in a healthcare facility or strong customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance terminology and medical terminology preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilize computer programs.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the initial point of contact with patients and families through administrative duties such as check-in, check-out, and scheduling.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility; collect co-payments; follow service line protocols.
• Pre-register patients, review financial responsibility, and prepare charts per Quality Checklist.
• Check out patients, schedule follow-ups, provide paperwork, and document interactions in the EMR.
• Process mail, faxes, medical records requests and referrals; handle end-of-day cash/credit reconciliation.
• Perform general office duties and maintain waiting room cleanliness and timely communication.
