Confluent Health is seeking a friendly Care Coordinator at our West Nyack clinic. You will be the first voice patients hear and the first face they see, handling front desk duties with warmth, professionalism, and a calm, organized approach.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at once while staying organized and detail-oriented.
Comfortable and confident communicating on the phone, including handling upset callers with patience and professionalism.
Basic computer proficiency: comfortable learning new systems, scheduling software, emails, and spreadsheets.
No prior medical experience required — training including EMR navigation and scheduling workflows will be provided.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
Manage front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information and updating patient records.
Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, waiting lists, cancellations, and follow-ups.
Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments accurately and professionally.
Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation.
