Job summary

Marshall Medical in Placerville, CA seeks a Patient Service Representative 2 to deliver exceptional administrative support. You will be the first contact for patients, families, and external providers, handling registration, scheduling, billing inquiries and MyChart assistance while ensuring authorizations are secured before visits.

You will also support check-in/check-out, collect payments, update demographics and collaborate with clinical teams to resolve issues and enhance care quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience required (Vision, Dental and Veterinary included).
• 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience working with patients and providers, Epic EHR preferred.
• Experience with busy phone lines is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients, handle billing inquiries and MyChart assistance.
• Ensure required authorizations are secured before appointments; verify insurance eligibility.
• Facilitate smooth check-in and checkout; collect payments and update demographics.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve issues and improve care quality.
• Orient new staff and assist in other departments to support operations.
