Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to join the Care Access team in a full-time, variable schedule. The role supports patient navigation, scheduling, and technical help with health applications, serving as the entry point for patients across Providence St. Joseph Health regions.

If you have two years of customer service experience and experience assisting customers via phone, you may be a good fit. The position is temporary with weekend shifts and a Monday–Friday work cadence.

Qualifications

• 2 years customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• 2 years experience interacting with and engaging customers virtually over the phone.
• 1 year technical support experience.

Providence is calling a Patient Services Specialist - Full-Time, Variable Schedule

Schedule is Monday-Friday, working as early as 6:45 AM and as late as 7 PM.

Weekend schedule is 8:45 AM-5:15 PM.

This is a temporary position.

The Care Access Liaisons provide patient-centered, coordinated access to the complex network of facilities, institutes, and clinics. They foster and nurture relationships with existing patients and those seeking treatment. Care Access includes find a physician navigation within a health network, scheduling appointments and classes, providing tier 1 technical support with patient health applications, and functioning as an entry point and informational resource for patients into the health system. This position is part of the Patient Engagement Center (PEC) team, which provides high-touch, personalized assistance to patients across Providence St. Joseph Health regions and provider networks.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• 2 years experience interacting with and engaging customers virtually over the phone.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year technical support experience.
