Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Medical Receptionist for the Physical Therapy team in Queen Creek, AZ. Starting pay is $17 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to advance within a fast-growing orthopedic group.

Responsibilities include front-desk duties, patient check-in/out, insurance verification support, and EMR data entry. The role requires medical terminology knowledge and strong communication skills in a collaborative clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or GED.

• Manage schedule and assist with insurance verification.

• Index patient documents to correct chart and route electronic faxes.
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time.

As a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona, you’ll get to:

• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
• Be the 1st point of contact for our patients : Greet, Check In, Check Out and provide excellent patient service.
• Manage schedule, assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements
• Support physical therapy staff by keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand/Perform training on practice management software
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED

Preferred Experience:

• At least one year of medical office experience
• Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
