Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office certification preferred.
• 1–2 years healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems (NextGen, Epic, eClinicalWorks) preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred or required depending on location.
• BLS certification/training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or sliding fee documentation.
• Confirm demographics and update EHR records.
• Schedule new and return visits based on provider templates.
• Coordinate with care teams to optimize schedules and referrals.
• Document management - scanning and filing patient paperwork.
• Respond to phone calls and patient inquiries promptly.
