The Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration and check-in for our dietetics and pelvic health patients, as well as clinical support duties.
This is a full-time position working M-F from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm at our Pelvic Health Clinic in Edina.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, with a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions
- Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
- Verify and document insurance information as per current business practices
- Schedule new and existing patients accurately and timely in the practice management system
- Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including appointment details, directions, check-in times, referral info, and copayments
- Prepare and manage charts
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks
- Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff
- Rotate Switchboard Operator duties, including accepting, handling, and transferring calls; coordinating interpreters and patient referrals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Customer Service experience required
- Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred

- Starting pay varies based on education, skills, and experience
- $1,500 sign-on bonus, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment (not available to internal applicants)

Ability to:
- Comply with policies, procedures, practices, and ethics
- Complete required training

- Work in the clinic during business hours
- Travel within the clinic, including moving between floors; may involve bending, lifting, standing, sitting for long periods
- Work efficiently, handle interruptions, meet deadlines
- Communicate professionally and respectfully
- Prioritize workload and be flexible
- Apply logical thinking to solve problems
- Follow instructions and operate equipment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other locations if required
