Job Summary

Gritman Medical Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR)to provide essential administrative and clerical support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role ensures smooth patient registration, appointment scheduling, and effective communication between healthcare providers, patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices. The PSR I is expected to maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while delivering excellent customer service and professionalism in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and over the phone with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Monitor call queues and patient wait times, ensuring efficient service.
• Maintain accurate patient accounts, process payments, and balance cash drawers.
• Enter and verify insurance and patient information with a high level of accuracy.
• Schedule patient appointments appropriately based on clinic protocols.
• Assist with medical record requests and chart preparation.
• Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Uphold patient privacy and rights by maintaining strict confidentiality.
