Advocate Health in Calhoun, GA is seeking a Patient Services Representative I to manage patient registration, verify demographics and insurance, and collect liabilities. You will support financial clearance and refer patients to counselors as needed, while ensuring accurate data entry and courteous service.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of payer guidelines, with a 40-hour work week and 8–5 schedule on Mon–Fri in a medical practice setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; patient access (scheduling/registration) and insurance verification experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients arriving for appointments and manages patient flow for efficient service.
• Completes registration on walk-in patients and verifies demographic/insurance information.
• Obtains and collects patient financial liability and follows up on balances.
• Assists with financial clearance and refers patients to Financial Counselor when needed.
• Performs visit closure, schedules follow-ups, and provides necessary documents.
• Maintains knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payer requirements.
