Job summary

UnityPoint Health-Meriter is seeking a Patient Service Representative to provide administrative and clinical support for the Center for Perinatal Care and Maternal Fetal Medicine leadership and teams. The role includes transcribing orders, interpreting referral data, and handling prior authorizations, registration, and scheduling.

The PSR will greet patients, register them for CPC appointments, and assist in coordinating care between UPH-Meriter, UW Health, and external providers, while handling

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes orders and interprets clinical referral data.
• Performs routine clerical tasks for prior authorization, registration, and scheduling.
• Greet and register patients on arrival for CPC appointments.
• Coordinate care between UPH-Meriter, UW Health, and referring providers.
• Maintain access to confidential patient information in support of clinicians.
