Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker Lead to coordinate patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. You will liaise between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services while training junior staff.

Responsibilities include delivering trays, communicating dietary needs, and ensuring sanitation standards are met, with a focus on accuracy and patient care. The role may involve flexible duties based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Services Worker required.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian in a timely manner.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Train and support Patient Services Workers in their roles supporting patients / residents.
