Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long‑term care patients by receiving, interpreting, and following through on diet orders. This role acts as a liaison between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services.

The position involves delivering trays and nourishments, communicating patient preferences, and ensuring diet care orders are implemented with proper sanitation and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service; delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicates all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and performing assigned sanitation tasks.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers; maintains temperature logs.
