The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to coordinate all tasks related to patient services within an ambulatory setting, including scheduling, template maintenance, clinic flow, vital signs, and preparing exam rooms.
Responsibilities include handling patient communications, maintaining schedule accuracy, supporting managed care processes, and ensuring confidentiality of patient information in a fast-paced environment.

The Inpatient Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit is a 48 bed unit and is one of our designated immunotherapy floors, administering research protocols involving immunotherapy and CARTOX therapy to patients, including Phase 1 clinical trials. As such, our staff receive additional training to develop the skills needed to provide exceptional care to patients receiving this progressive therapy.
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of recent work experience. Prefer at least one year of recent patient care experience. Must be comfortable working with kids.
Shift: The job is 100% on-site. Ideal candidate will work 3-12 hours shifts from 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays.
The primary purpose of the Patient Services Coordinator position is to provide and coordinate all tasks associated with patient services within an ambulatory setting; including but not limited to patient scheduling, physician & clinic template maintenance, expediting clinic flow, obtaining vital signs and preparing exam rooms, processing the accurate completion of all charge capture activities, assisting in the identification and authorization of managed care patients, and all other tasks as delegated by the Center Director.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
