Job summary

Northwell Health's New Milford Family Practice in New Milford, CT, is seeking a Medical Practice Patient Representative to provide clerical and administrative support and coordinate patient care activities.

You will greet patients, verify information, manage appointments, handle calls, process co-pays, and ensure compliance while traveling between practices as needed. The position runs Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm with shifts varying and benefits as described.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred; data entry and strong communication skills essential.
• Minimum six months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
• Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and Models the Organization values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
