Job Summary

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Services Coordinator to join our esteemed Orthopedic team in Thomasville Clinic. This role is integral in facilitating outstanding healthcare services for our patients. PSC are responsible for timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges and collections. Scheduling patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Schedule: Full Time, Days 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Department: Novant Health Orthapedic Clinic
  • Location: Kernersville, NC

Our services encompass advanced joint and bone care, including treatments for chronic conditions, sports injuries, fractures, and joint replacements. Our multidisciplinary team employs state-of-the-art imaging technologies and minimally invasive procedures to provide personalized treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-ups to ensure seamless care delivery.

  • Manage patient records, insurance information, and billing processes with accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to facilitate effective communication.

  • Utilize electronic medical records systems to maintain up-to-date patient information.

Requires excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to work with changing priorities. Requires excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must be able to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to function as part of a team. Must possess initiative. Basic medical terminology required, knowledge can be obtained through formal classes or work experience. High level of working knowledge of EPIC systems. Detailed knowledge of multiple payors billing requirements. Familiarity of coding requirements for practice specialty.
  • Additional skills preferred: Proficient in use of all computer software utilized in practice.
