Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a friendly Receptionist to serve as the liaison between physicians and patients. The role includes answering calls, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, collecting registration and insurance data, and updating the billing system to ensure smooth patient flow.

No experience is required as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, and a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone, determine nature of patient calls and incoming requests.
• Schedule appointments and route calls; take messages.
• Greet patients and family members.
• Obtain registration and insurance data and update billing system.
• Facilitate patient flow into the practice.
• Assist with charge entry, referrals and pre-certifications; schedule specialist appointments and tests.
• Provide care in alignment with age appropriate guidelines.
