Work hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm / Full Time / 40hrs

Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position serves as a key role in the patient's experience, serving as their first point of contact upon arrival to Emory facilities for clinical appointments.
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients, welcoming and checking them in, communicating with patients, families, and staff to troubleshoot and meet patient needs, following standard operating procedures for appointment arrivals, demographics, registration, insurance info, scheduling, referrals, insurance coverage info, and collecting copays.
  • This role works regularly with patients, families, providers, clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience.
  • Ideal candidates demonstrate compassion, excellent customer service, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work in a high-paced team environment.
  • Computer skills and comfort navigating multiple applications are required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and 12 months of experience in healthcare or customer service industry OR currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program.
