Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's leading cancer care provider, seeks a Patient Service Coordinator for the SE Division. This role involves scheduling, patient communication, and coordinating appointments across Aurora, Centennial, Englewood, and Littleton.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 3 years of office experience, with excellent communication and computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 3 years of office experience; medical office experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; proficiency with computers (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules return and treatment appointments in the computer system per physician/office guidelines.
  • Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes and notifies clinic staff.
  • Sends outpatient appointment/testing notifications.
  • Handles incoming calls from patients needing to schedule or rescheduleAppointments.
  • Provides patients with accurate and legible appointment cards and follows up on missed appointments.
  • Directs patients to financial counseling as needed.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and protects clinic information.
  • Follows front office policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Covers other front office functions as needed.

Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Service Coordinator in our SE Division. This position may travel to Aurora, Centennial, Englewood and Littleton.

No matter the role each RMCC team member serves in, the goal is the same: to provide the best care possible for each and every one of our patients. Whether we are a nurse holding our patient’s hand, or a scheduler on the phone finding an appointment that fits into a patient’s schedule, we are deeply connected to our patients and do what we can to help.

Salary Range: $18.29-$26.00

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office preferred. Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with computer systems a requirement. Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination for computer work. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range for telephone contacts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.

All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire.
