Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is seeking an experienced Patient Service Coordinator for our SE Division. The role involves scheduling appointments across Aurora, Centennial, Englewood and Littleton locations and coordinating with clinical staff to fit patient needs.

Salary ranges from $18.29 to $26.00 per hour with benefits including health, dental, and vision plans, HSA/FSA options, 401(k) retirement, life and disability insurance, PTO and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of office experience, medical office preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication expected.
  • Proficiency with computer systems; Microsoft Office skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules returning and treatment appointments in the computer system per physician/office guidelines.
  • Cancels/reschedules appointments per physician schedule changes; notifies clinic personnel.
  • Sends outpatient appointments/testing materials.
  • Handles incoming calls from patients needing to schedule or reschedule appointments.
  • Provides patients with accurate appointment cards and follows up to reschedule missed appointments.
  • Arranges financial counseling for patients as needed.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and follows front office policies.
  • Covers other front office functions as requested.

Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Service Coordinator in our SE Division. This position may travel to Aurora, Centennial, Englewood and Littleton.

Whether we are a nurse holding our patient’s hand, or a scheduler on the phone finding an appointment that fits into a patient’s schedule, we are deeply connected to our patients and do what we can to help.

Salary Range: $18.29-$26.00

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office preferred. Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with computer systems a requirement. Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours and regularly required to sit or stand and talk or hear. Requires manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination for computer work. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range for telephone contacts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.

All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire.
