Qualifications

• Eligible List Appointment: Civil Service eligible for Nursing Station Clerk 1.
• Provisional Appointment: One year of full-time clerical/health care experience.
• 55b/c Appointment: 55b/c eligible letter required.
• Section 70.1 Transfer: one year of permanent competitive service in a qualifying title.

Responsibilities

• Orient patient and/or family to unit and provide general information.
• Give information on patient condition within policies and direct visitors.
• Process physicians' orders by recording them in charts or computer files; fill medication tickets and pharmacy requisitions.
• Receive new admissions.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts, daily log and clinic log.
