Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience; healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and patient information privacy.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile patient payments and units billed following HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow processes for insurance verification and benefits management.
• Obtain authorization and/or prior authorization for services.
• Oversee over-the-counter collections and reconcile charges weekly and monthly.
• Maintain relationships with patients, providers, clinicians, and internal departments.
