Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in hospital customer service or call center billing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required or demonstrated experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day call center processes and resolve patient concerns.
• Coordinate with departments to expedite issue resolutions.
• Notify management of escalating issues and trends in calls or complaints.
• Ensure payment questions and accounts are resolved timely.
• Assist with Financial Assistance and Charity Care programs per regulations.
• Operate multiple patient information systems to resolve accounts.
• Assist with estate checks and deceased patient accounts.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurers, patients, and centers of excellence.
• Offer monthly payment options and coordinate charity self-pay vendors.
• Adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations.
